Mina is to be Count Dracula's next "bride." While Dr. Van Helsing, Dr. Seward and Quincey Holmwood are searching for the rest of Dracula's resting places, he pays Mina a second visit and drains more of her blood.
When the men return to Dr. Seward's sanitarium, they try to figure out where Dracula is hiding the other boxes of earth he brought over from Transylvania. Mina decides to pay Renfield a visit. Renfield tries to tell her she must leave this place at once. "I pray God I may never see your sweet face again. May he bless and keep you." Renfield says. He then notices she has been bitten on the neck by Dracula and tells her she must leave before it's too late. His actions toward Mina startle Harker and Dr. Seward but they hold off doing anything. After Harker and his wife leave, Renfield goes to Dr. Seward and tries to get him to persuade Mina to leave but suddenly he feels Dracula's hypnotic power overcome him and he starts acting like a lunatic.
Dracula pays Renfield a visit in his padded cell. Dracula feels Renfield is trying to betray him. Dr. Seward is in a room nearby and hears a scream of horror coming from nearby. He is joined by Van Helsing and they go into Renfield's cell and find him dead.
Van Helsing, Dr. Seward and Quincey spend another night trying to find and destroy Dracula but are not successful. While Jonathan Harker sleeps, Mina wakes to find Dracula has entered her room by transforming into a cloud of smoke. Once in his human form again, he opens his shirt and with his sharp fingernails, cuts open his chest so that Mina can drink his blood and be placed in his power! Just then, Van Helsing and Dr. Seward enter and find an incredible scene taking place! Dracula looks at them with an evil stare!
