Dr. Van Helsing and Dr. Seward burst into the Harker's bedroom to find Dracula forcing Mina to drink his blood from a cut on his chest. Van Helsing and Seward take out a crucifix and a sacred host, which forces Dracula to leave the scene. Jonathan wakes to find his wife Mina in turmoil, blood all around her lips. Mina jumps out of bed and sobs, screaming "Unclean, unclean! I must touch him or kiss him no more. Oh, that it should be that it is I who am now his worst enemy, and whom he may have most cause to fear." Van Helsing takes his sacred host and places it on Mina's forhead. The touch of it burns her forehead and causes her great pain. Van Helsing knows that Dracula will at times be able to have Mina in his control.
Van Helsing, Seward and Quincey are more determined than ever to find Dracula and destroy him. They succeed in finding out that Dracula has sent some boxes of earth to a house in Piccadilly and go there. Van Helsing breaks up some sacret hosts and drops the pieces into the boxes of earth so Dracula cannot use these boxes anymore as resting places. Suddenly Dracula enters the room with a look of hatred on his face and snarls at them, "You think to baffle me, you with your pale faces all in a row, like sheep in a butcher's. You shall be sorry yet, each one of you! You think you have left me without a place to rest, but I have more. My revenge is just begun! I spread it over centuries, and time is on my side. Your girls that you all love are mine already. And through them you and others shall yet be mine, my creatures, to do my bidding and to be my jackals when I want to feed. Bah!" Dracula then looks at the window near him and suddenly the glass explodes into thousands of pieces and Dracula vanishes from the room only to reappear on the street below. A cloud forms around the Count and he vanishes at Harker pulls out a revolver and shoots at Dracula. The bullets have no effect.
Later, Van Helsing, Dr. Seward, Quincey, Jonathan and Mina meet to plan their next move. Van Helsing finds that Mina can be used, through hypnosis, to track Dracula's movements. They discover that Dracula is traveling in one of his boxes of earth back to Transylvania, driven there by the gypsies in his power. Dr. Seward, Quincey and Harker mount horses and ride toward Transylvania, hoping to catch Dracula before he can reach the safety of his castle. Mina has determined to travel with them so she and Van Helsing make the trip also.
